Ban and Restricted Drone Areas to Increase this 2019

By Dale Daniels · On January 26, 2019

Flying a drone is a fun experience that can really make an impression on people. With a camera mounted on it, a drone can give you amazing sights unobtainable by any other means. Being able to see through the eyes of a bird can be a very rewarding experience.

Drone Regulations Worldwide

Drone popularity is at an all-time high, but that also means one thing – stricter regulations. Yes, with more and more people getting their hands on drones, it also means more chances of accidents and incidents. Airports, for example, have experienced numerous incidents involving drones over the past few years alone. This led to airports in Britain suggesting increasing the drone ban on airports. From one kilometer, it may now be up to five kilometers. Anyone caught navigating through airspaces near airports can receive hefty fines. Some even suggest imprisonment for guilty parties captured by law enforcement.

Britain in its entirety may even opt for more bans these coming months simply because of the many incidents. Incidents, which seem to grow exponentially, especially with airports.

Drone Ban and Restrictions

With more and more places opting for partial to full bans when it comes to drones, owners need to be careful. Before flying your drone at a park, at a public place, or even near your home, you have to check local regulations. A country’s drone regulations may allow certain things, but locally it may be different. Private residences for example may have stricter drone regulations. People want their privacy upheld, after all. Having a drone flying around – with a camera no less – can make people living nearby uneasy.

Flying over crowds can also be a problem. Areas around the world seem to be loosening up to the idea of a drone flying over crowds. However, most still prohibit this action. Crashing drones can cause a ton of damage both to the surrounding area and the people as well. To avoid any fines or trouble from local authorities, remember to always check before flying.
